The old mattresses were simple foam mattresses without moisture protection and many of them are rotting and falling apart from bedwetting. This project will replace the mattresses with new, vinyl-covered mattresses and provide new sheets, blankets, and pillows for the children.  Please help us provide comfortable, sanitary beds for our orphans to sleep in. Project cost is approximately $100 per set.

While the orphanage has a well on-site for drinking and washing purposes, the farm does not. This means that crop viability is 100% dependent on rainfall and drought or delay in rain can heavily impact the crops’ yield each season. When this happens, the orphanage must scramble to try to raise additional, unexpected funds to purchase the food staples they were relying on from the farm (corn, beans, casava). We would like to drill a borehole on the farm site that would provide water for the crops in these situations, ensuring appropriate yields. With appropriate irrigation, the orphanage farm can produce a crop surplus which can then be sold to supplement other project funding needs. The project includes a hydrological survey, drilling a borehole, and installing storage tanks, a solar system, and an irrigation system on the farm. Project cost is approximately $13,760.

While the Foundation was able to help build a wall around the orphanage, we did not have the funding to install security gates to help control access to the grounds. In early 2026, a man in Uganda entered an orphanage (not ours) and killed four children. Please help us fund the purchase and installation of three security gates to help protect our children. Each gate will cost $1,500 with an additional $166 to install. Project cost is approximately $5,000.
